It seems to me that one of the great lessons of the pandemic has been the importance of human connection. The idea that no man is an island, that we all need each other.
‘It’s a wonderful life’ is my all time favourite movie. It tells the story of a certain George Bailey who is having something of a bad day as Christmas approaches. He wants to call it quits on life but is saved by his guardian angel Clarence who proceeds to show George how things would have gone had he never been around at all. It’s a heart warming tale with a great message.
And so it goes, in a particular way, for My Good Self. The Great Instituions of Chatham Street, Merrion Row, Harry Street and The Lotts are all on my radar these days. It works for me and it works for them.
It’s all about connecting.
