I like to think that I’ve had a good run with my eyesight. All going well, come the end of November I will be 56 years young. I can still read and in familiar surroundings I remain largely independent. However, more and more as days go by it is becoming increasingly clear to me, in a manner of speaking, that the lights are growing dim and may go out altogether sometime in the next couple of years.
And so, what of it? I feel I am fortunate to have found musical learning as I enter this new phase of life. If Stevie Wonder can do it, why can’t I? All I need is some boot polish.
Speaking of which, I feel a visit to My Local Spar coming on.
