So there I was, doing my thing on South King Street, playing a few tunes, when a voice called out to me, ‘is that ‘Somewhere over the rainbow’ ‘? ‘Yes it is!’, I replied excitedly. ‘Thank you, a bit of recognition is all I’m after’, and my first fan flashed a beautiful smile back to me by return.
The undoubted highlight of my new busking career to date.
So I’m a week into my fresh adventure and I can only say that thus far it has been one of the better life decisions that I have made. I love playing tunes on the streets of my home town, watching the world go by, getting the occasional bit of attention and earning a little money along the way. So far I have earned the grand total of 6 euro, 2 of which came from an unknown source.
All in all, it’s nothing short of mega!
