Joy for England

Leaving aside the Welsh demolition of The Pizza Pasta Lads, there was some very entertaining rugby on display over the weekend. Across in Twickenham England edged out France right at the death courtesy of a late try awarded to them by Irish Television Match Official (TMO) Joy Neville. The first female TMO in the history of the Six Nations tournament, all eyes were on Neville as she made the crucial and correct call. Up in Edinburgh The Boys In Green had Johnny Sexton to thank for a late penalty and a hard fought win over The Scots.

Back on home turf it’s a beautiful afternoon here today in the fair city. Roll out of vaccines has hit something of a Norwegian stumbling block. Just how many hurdles are left in this seemingly never ending story? At least The Boys From Anfield appear to be back on track with a battling 1-0 win over Wolves. It seems my services will definitely not now be required. Phew. Over in the world of classical guitar my good friend, the metronome, is telling me that I have made it to the heady heights of 80 beats per minute (bpm) in the ongoing search for the ‘Cavatina’ holy grail. With the finishing line set at something around 140 bpm, it seems that I still have a few kilometres left to travel. I remain completely confident that I will achieve my goal sometime before I pop my clogs, quite possibly the day before.

Alors, c’est tout pour le moment, a bientot mes amis.
