The French Connection

One of the many positive aspects of the past year for me has been a renewed and continued effort to improve my French.

Through my family connection with The Belgian Boy, I have met and travelled with many French speaking people over the years and made various consequent attempts to progress my ability in this area, all of which ultimately faltered. Until a few months ago when I happened by chance to exchange a few texts ‘en Francais’ with The Hot Babe and I decided it was time to give it all another whirl.

And lo and behold, I’m still at it.

A vehicle known as ‘Coffee Break French’ is my chosen mode of transport, with a Scottish driver by the name of Mark who has a very pleasant way of negotiating linguistic traffic jams.

Moving along to matters of more monumental importance, The Boys From Anfield have progressed to the quarter finals stage of the Champions League after a very impressive 2-0 second leg win last night over RB Leipzig. The big test will come on Monday night away to Wolves. I’m on bended knee as I write.

Over in the land of Kings and Queens the difficult climb back to the Promised Land of the 1500’s has begun with a hard fought win over The Italian Babe. who played really well before falling at the final fence. Current rating is 1472 with all games in the melting pot.

Alors, c’est tout pour le moment, a bientot mes amis.
