Yesterday morning marked the official beginning of Irish Summertime with the clocks going forward one hour.

Kick off was halfway between seven and eight bells in the company of the soothing voice of Lilian Smith on RTE Radio One’s ‘Rising Time’.
Tea was duly made, scribbling and chess followed closely on.
The nerves are starting to jangle a little on the chessboard. My rating has slowly crept up to the dizzying heights of 1488.
The Promised Land of the 1500’s is in sight.
My Good Self must remain thoroughly cool, calm and completely collected.
Life is a challenge.
The morning continued with guitar practice and a switch over to BBC Radio 4 Extra for some comedy and drama.
Afternoon brought a wander east down along the North quays for the fresh air gig.
The seafront in Clontarf and the Phoenix Park are currently on hold.
Two kilometres from the front door is the new order of the day.
Dinner was a most pleasing M&S Beef Cannelloni washed down by quite a sizeable and extremely pleasant glass of the Santa Helena Cabernet Sauvignon.
Evening time is Netflix time.
‘Supersonic’ is a documentary on the band Oasis, charting the sibling tensions between the Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel.
Friends can be chosen. Families are often quite a different kettle of shark.
Around about eleven bells, I heard the call of the hay.
I responded to that call.
It had been a good day.
