Connection through disconnection

My Good Self has not darkened the door of The Great Institution of Chatham Street for a good 7 days 19 hours 23 minutes and 19.575 seconds.

No greater sacrifice can one budding, red wine drinking classical guitarist make to the well being of his fellow citizens.

Cometh the hour, cometh My Good Self.

Social distancing, self isolation, guitars and Santa Helena Merlot.

It’s all happening.

My Good Self is remaining thoroughly cool, calm and completely collected through these stormy times.

That panic buying nonsense is not for me.

Indeed I would like to categorically state right here and now that the extra bottle of the dark red liquid and the additional Marks & Sparks Cantonese Sweet & Sour Chicken that somehow made their way into my shopping basket on Thursday afternoon were a complete and utter accident.

It will never happen again.

Well, maybe not for a few hours anyhow.

So it’s a time to come together by keeping our distance from one another.

It all sounds very Irish.
